Home visits are at the heart of the work of SSVP and is one of the fundamental ways in which most SSVP members have person-to-person contact with those in need.

We visit people in their homes, in hospitals, in hospices, nursing homes, residential care homes and prisons. Sometimes just having someone to talk to can make the world of a difference.

If you wish to request a visit from SSVP members for yourself or, with their consent, on behalf of a friend or family member please submit this form.

A SSVP member from your local area will then get in touch with you to arrange a visit.

Each visit will be undertaken by two members. All members of the SSVP have appropriate certification in relation to the protection of vulnerable groups and in line with the diocesan safeguarding policy.
